Many of the Galaxy Note 5’s spec details have already leaked out, tipping us to the next Note’s screen, processor, cameras, and more. But there’s one detail that eluded us in the previous Note 5 spec leak: its battery. Now that mystery appears to have been solved, too.
Evan Blass, source of the last Note 5 spec leak, today said that Samsung’s next Galaxy Note smartphone will have a 3000mAh battery. To compare, the Note 4 comes with a 3220mAh battery. Blass says that the Galaxy S6 edge+ will also pack a 3000mAh battery, up from the 2600mAh battery found in the original Galaxy S6 edge.

The Note 5 is expected to drop the removable battery feature found in previous models, likely part of an effort from Samsung to offer a premium glass back and a slimmer body. That could lead to the Note 5 having a smaller battery as well. That may bum out some would-be Note 5 buyers, but with the likely inclusion of both fast charging and wireless charging, I’m betting that Note 5 owners won’t be hurting for ways to top up their phone’s battery.
