Following a rumor that claimed that Verizon and Motorola are cooking up a new DROID Turbo, a leak has arrived to provide support to the original rumor.
An image that purportedly shows a Costco inventory screen with a “Turbo 2” listing in plain sight. The inventory also lists both the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+, but after so many previous Galaxy Note and Galaxy S phone releases on Verizon, it’s not really a surprise to learn that Verizon will carry both the Note 5 and GS6 edge+ too.
While this new leak adds evidence to the rumor that a Turbo 2 is coming, it doesn’t really offer up any information about the device itself. It’s possible that the Turbo 2 could be the US version of the Moto X Play, which isn’t coming to the US, but the X Play’s 1920x1080 would be a step down from the Turbo’s 2560x1440 display. Maybe the X Play will be the “MAXX 2” referenced in last month’s leak and the Turbo 2 will be something else? We’ll just have to wait and see.
