HTC confirmed back in May that the One M9 and One M9+ will be updated to Android M, but what about last year’s flagship? Turns out that it, too, will get a taste of Google’s M dessert.
HTC’s Mo Versi recently confirmed on Twitter that the One M8 will be updated to Android M. No possible release window was given, though.

HTC has been pretty good about updating its flagship smartphones in recent years, and so it’s not terribly surprising to learn that the company plans to update its 2014 flagship to Android M. Exactly when that update will arrive remains to be seen, but HTC has been pushing major OS updates in a reasonable timeframe lately, and so M8 owners may not be waiting too long after M’s public release for their own update
