A little more than a week after the rumor mill hinted at the existence of a bigger Galaxy S6 edge, some more details of the device have leaked.
Sources speaking to SamMobile say that the “Galaxy S6 edge Plus” will come to market with a 5.7-inch display, which is substantially larger than the 5.1-inch screen found on the standard Galaxy S6 edge. The phone is expected to launch sometime in Q3 2015 with Android 5.1.1 in tow.
Past rumors have suggested that Samsung isn’t planning to offer a new version of last year’s Galaxy Note Edge, and so it sounds like this Galaxy S6 edge Plus will be the replacement for the 2015 Note Edge. The Galaxy S6 edge Plus may not be quite as powerful as the Galaxy Note 5, because the GS6 edge Plus is rumored to include a hexa-core chip, but it should be beefy enough for most folks that want a new Galaxy Note Edge-style device.
