It looks like Sprint is starting its week with an Android OS update for one of its recent handsets.
Sprint says that starting today, June 8, it’s going to start pushing Android 5.1.1 Lollipop to its flavor of the LG G Flex 2. Also included in the update is Factory Reset Protection. To try and grab this update manually, you can head into Settings > System updates > Update LG Software > Check For Update.
When the LG G Flex 2 launched, it did so with Android 5.0 in tow. Now the phone is getting Android 5.1.1, and while 5.1 is primarily a bug fixing update for 5.0, there are a few notable tweaks found in 5.1. Plus, I’m betting that a lot of Sprint G Flex 2 owners will just be happy to be on the very latest (publicly available) version of Android.
