UPDATE: And shortly after this post went up, Amazon appears to have brought its Nexus Player price back up to $69.99. If you missed out on the $58.98 price, it might be worth keeping an eye on the product page in case it goes back down again!

Looks like the Nexus 6 isn’t the only Nexus product that’s being heavily discounted by Amazon.

The Nexus Player is now being sold by Amazon for $58.96, which is $40.04 less than the device’s normal asking price. To compare, the Google Store is selling the Nexus Player for $79. If you do decide to order a Nexus Player from Amazon, it’s worth noting that the device is Prime Eligible, so you Amazon Prime members can get your new device before the end of the week.

Included with the Nexus Player is the set-top box itself as well as a remote that will let you search for content using your voice. On the software side, it’s running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, though if you like to live on the edge, you can flash the Android M Developer Preview to it. While some may consider the Nexus Player to be a tad pricey at its regular $99 price, Amazon’s sub-$60 sale price seems pretty appropriate for the device, and so this deal may be worth a look if you’re on the hunt for a new box to feed content to your TV.
