T-Mobile: Samsung Galaxy Note Edge receiving Android 5.0 today

One week after T-Mobile pushed Android 5.0 to the Galaxy Note 4, it’s giving the same Lollipop treat to the Note 4’s curvier brethren.

T-Mobile has announced that the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will start receiving an update to Android 5.0 today, May 4. Along with the bump to Lollipop, the update will include Wi-Fi passport. Once you’re updated, you’ll be on software build N915TUVU1COD7.

To install this new update, your Galaxy Note Edge is going to need to be on Wi-Fi, because the beefy update weighs in at 1100MB. Once you’re on a Wi-Fi connection, just go into Settings > About device > Software update > Ok to see if you can manually install the update over the air. You can also try to install the update through Samsung’s Kies computer software.
