LG G4 spec list leaks ahead of tomorrow's event

Tomorrow’s the day that the LG G4 will make its official debut, but as is usually the case with highly-anticipated smartphones, a new leak that claims to reveal most of the G4’s features has surfaced ahead of the event.

Evan Blass, also known as @evleaks, has shared what looks to be the LG G4’s full spec list. The front of the G4 is said to include a 5.5-inch 2560x1440s display with unspecified features that are said to improve image quality, and there’s an 8-megapixel front-facing camera on there too. Around back is said to be a 16-megapixel camera with Laser Auto Focus, optical image stabilization, and an f/1.8 aperture.

Inside of the G4’s leather-clad body reportedly lives a Snapdragon 808 processor — yes, that’s an 808 and not an 810 — as well as 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a microSD card slot, and a user-removable 3000mAh battery. Also included are the usual array of sensors, radios, and more, like LTE, NFC, wireless charging, and quick charging.

Some of these features were revealed by a leaked LG G4 microsite that appeared earlier this month, but the full spec list on that site appeared to be for the G3 and not the G4. Now it seems that we’ve got we’ve got the full spec list, and features like a user-swappable battery and a microSD slot are sure to please many Android fans out there. There are sure to be some questions about LG’s decision to go with a Snapdragon 808 over the 810, which may have been made due to concerns of overheating, but we’ll wait until we spend some time with the G4 before making any judgments about its performance.

The LG G4 will be introduced in full tomorrow, and while it may seem like all has been revealed already, I’m sure that LG’s still got one or two things up its sleeve. Stay tuned.
