AT&T confirms HTC One M8 Android 5.0 update, shares changelog too

Following HTC’s announcement that the AT&T One M8 would be getting Android 5.0 today, AT&T has confirmed the push and shared a changelog for the update.

AT&T says that its HTC One M8 will start receiving Android 5.0.2 over the air today, April 7. The update weighs in at 550MB in size, and you can manually check for it by going into Settings > AT&T Software update > Check for updates.

According to AT&T, here’s what you One M8 owners can expect to find in today’s update:

Better visibility for Recents and Calendar

  • New Overview space (formerly called Recents)

Overall this looks like a pretty significant update, and if you’ve got an AT&T-branded One M8, you’re going to see the look of your phone change a bit after updating. The OTA update will likely roll out over the coming days, so keep an eye out for it.
