Verizon Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge pre-orders begin April 1

Get out your calendars, Verizon customers, because we now know when you’ll be able to claim your very own Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.

Verizon will begin accepting pre-orders for both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge on April 1. The big red carrier hasn’t revealed which colors it’ll offer, but its announcement includes images of the White Pearl Galaxy S6 and Black Sapphire Galaxy S6 edge.

Another detail that we don’t yet know about the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge are their prices. T-Mobile has pegged the GS6 at $699 full retail, but there have been no other announcements. However, the Galaxy S6 could end up being priced at $199 on-contract since that’s the typical asking price for a new flagship smartphone. Expect the Galaxy S6 Edge to cost an additional $50 or $100 with a two-year commitment.

Samsung has said that the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge will begin launching around the globe on April 10. Verizon hasn’t announced when its own launch will go down, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s around April 10.
