Verizon posts Nexus 6 demo video as launch now rumored for mid-March

Verizon recently said that the Nexus 6 was “coming soon” to its shelves, and while the launch date was rumored to be February 26, it appears that that’s not the case. However, it likely was at one point.

Today Verizon posted a Nexus 6 video demo to its official YouTube channel, and right at the start of the clip, the presenter tells us that he’s here to tell us about “the new Nexus 6, now available on the Verizon 4G LTE network.” We know that that’s not the case, though, because there’s been no official announcement from Verizon and the device is nowhere to be found on its website.

The good news is that the new launch date isn’t too far off. According to Droid-Life sources, Verizon’s new Nexus 6 launch date is March 12. Pricing for VZW’s Nexus 6 is reportedly going to be set at $249 with a two-year contract or $0 down and 24 payments of $29.16 each with Verizon Edge.

Exactly why the Verizon Nexus 6’s launch date has changed remains to be seen, but here’s to hoping that the phone does indeed land on March 12. Sure, you can buy an N6 from Google right now and pop a Verizon SIM in there yourself, but buying through Verizon will let customers get a subsidized phone or pay for it in installments. That’ll give many more folks access to Google and Motorola’s latest.
