HTC and Samsung appear set to introduce their new Android flagships on the same day at MWC this year, but if you were hoping for LG to join in and get a triple threat match started, prepare to be disappointed.
A new report from the Korea Times says that the LG G4 might be released in April. Sources say that LG decided not to debut the G4 at MWC because it would rather wait until it’s totally ready to make its announcement rather than try to rush to go head-to-head with Samsung’s Galaxy S6.
The LG G3 made its debut in late May 2014, and since the mobile market is so big on the annual release cycle, it’s no surprise to hear that LG is likely going to announce the G4 right around one year after the G3. That may be a disappointment to some that wanted to see all three Android manufacturers square off at MWC, but hey, at least we’ll still have two shiny new flagships to keep us busy next month.
