Sprint is on a roll! The big yellow carrier has already pushed Android 5.0 to its HTC One (M7) and Samsung Galaxy S5 this week, and now it’s going to update at least one more phone before the week is through.
According to Sprint’s support site, the HTC One (M8) will begin to receive its Android 5.0 update today, February 6. The update will bump the One (M8) to software version 4.20.651.10 and will also remove the Lumen toolbar.
It was just yesterday that a leak claimed that the Sprint One (M8) would start getting Lollipop on February 13, but I don’t think that users are going to be upset about receiving Android 5.0 a week earlier than expected. And hey, big ups to Sprint for knocking out three major Lollipop updates in the span of just a few days.
If you’ve got a Sprint One (M8), you can check for this update by heading into Settings > System updates > HTC software update > Check Now. Let us know when it hits your neck of the woods!
