We’re now less than one month out from HTC’s “utopia in progress” event and the reveal of the HTC One (M9), and the leaks that claim to show the device just keep on coming.
Several new images that claim to show the rear panel of a gold HTC One (M9) have made their way online. The photos show a rear that looks similar to the One (M8), complete with two polycarbonate strips for the phone’s antennas, but it’s got the squircle rear camera housing that’s been rumored to be coming with the One (M9). The other side of the rear panel shows a lot of machine work.
We’ve seen that the front of the HTC One (M9) will look fairly different than its predecessors, offering redesigned BoomSound front-facing speakers and a centered front-facing camera. Whether or not the part shown in today’s leak is indeed the rear of the One (M9) will remain a mystery until March 1, but HTC has earned quite a bit of praise for its design of the One (M8) and it’s doesn’t really seem like there are a ton of improvements that HTC could make on it, so it’s possible that HTC could’ve decided to stick closely to that look for the One (M9)’s rear.
