LG: Snapdragon 810 issues resolved, G Flex 2 launch won't be affected

There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 lately. Rumors suggested that Samsung was skipping the chip with the Galaxy S6 because of overheating issues, and yesterday Qualcomm seemingly confirmed the reports by saying that a “large customer’s flagship device” won’t use the 810.

All of this may have led to some concerns about devices that are coming to market with the 810 inside, like the LG G Flex 2, but an LG exec has come along to quell those worries.

During a recent earnings conference in South Korea, LG said [Google Translate] that there were some issues with the initial sample of the Snapdragon 810, but that those problems have been resolved. LG went on to say that the launches of its upcoming Snapdragon 810 hardware, aka the LG G Flex 2, won’t be affected.
