After leaking out a couple of times earlier this month, the purple Sony Xperia Z3 is now officially official.
Revealed today by Sony’s Hong Kong division, the Xperia Z3 Purple Diamond Edition features a black front and a purple rear shell. The device looks similar to the Xperia Z3 that launched last year, complete with a 5.2-inch 1920x1080 display and 20.7-megapixel rear camera, but this purple Z3 appears to come preloaded with content from Disney’s Frozen.
The purple Xperia Z3 is slated to be priced at HK$4,998 (€555, $645 USD). There’s no word on when or if it’ll be released outside of Hong Kong.
Obviously a purple smartphone isn’t going to appeal to everyone. Sony’s got a tradition of launching purple versions of most of its Xperia smartphones, though, and so I’m sure that some Sony fans are happy to see the Xperia Z3 finally continuing that practice.
