UPDATE: Steve Hemmerstoffer, editor at Nowhereelse.fr, has posted a side-by-side comparison of the leaked HTC One (M9) and the HTC One (M8). The differences are a bit tough to make out here, but the One (M9)'s front-facing camera and sensor appear to be a bit larger than those on the One (M8), and its bezels might be a tad smaller, too.
With just a little over a month to go before what’ll likely be the official reveal of the HTC One (M9), leaks showing HTC’s next Android flagship are starting to come hard and fast.
Some new images that may give us a peek at the HTC One (M9) have popped on a Chinese online shop for cellphone accessories. The images show what looks like a One (M9), complete with a square rear camera housing. We can also see a button in the middle of the device’s side, below the volume rocker, that could be a relocated power button.
Additionally, Nowhereelse.fr has shared a mockup of what may be the backside of the One (M9). The image is based off of the One (M9) photos that leaked yesterday.
While still very much unconfirmed, today’s leak seems to add support to the rumors that the One (M9) will look largely similar to the One (M8). The two big changes are expected to be a 20.7-megapixel camera on the backside of the One (M9) rather than a 4-megapixel UltraPixel sensor, and a power button on the right side rather than the top, which sounds like a good move since the One (M8) is tall and a bit slippery.
