Looks like Google Translate isn’t the only app that’s getting in on the Update Wednesday fun.
Google Maps for both Android and iOS are now receiving updates with some new features in tow. On the Android side, the new Google Maps version 9.3 allows you to share directions with any app in your share menu. You can also share to Google Glass if you’ve got the eyewear connected.
Over on iOS, Google Maps version 4.2 brings the ability to filter restaurant searches by type of cuisine, see the current weather info for cities around the world, drop a pin for your start and end points in directions and navigation, and the ability to add transit directions to your calendar. Google has also thrown in some unspecified bug fixes.
Both updates are now rolling out, but as is usually the case with app updates, it may take some time for them to reach your devices. If you’ve got some Android hardware and you’re itching to grab your Maps update now, the folks at Android Police have an APK that you can sideload.
Be sure to let us know when the update makes it way to you!
