After launching two Android tablets under its own Ellipsis brand, Verizon is now adding a mobile hotspot to the family.
The Verizon Ellipsis Jetpack (MHS800L) is a 4G LTE mobile hotspot that can connect up to eight Wi-Fi devices to Verizon’s cellular network. Included is support for both LTE bands 4 and 13, but it’s worth pointing out that there’s no 3G connectivity to be found here.
Also included in the Ellipsis Jetpack’s 12.446mm-thick body is a 0.9-inch OLED display and a non-removable 2100mAh battery. Verizon says that that battery will get you around 10 hours of use on a single charge.
The Ellipsis Jetpack is now available from Verizon’s web store for $0.99 with a two-year contract or $149.99 without a commitment. While the device lacks some features that other mobile hotspots include, like a memory card slot, it is a cheap way to get several devices onto Verizon’s LTE network.
