Stickers are big in messaging apps because they give people a way to express themselves without words or jazz up their existing text or images. Facebook knows this, and as a result it’s releasing a new app that is all about stickers.
Facebook’s Creative Labs has announced a Stickered for Messenger app that let you add stickers to a photo that you’ve taken and then send it to a friend on Facebook Messenger. Facebook says that Stickered for Messenger is a “lightweight app.”
Stickered for Messenger will launch on Android later today and on iOS “soon.” Facebook says that it also plans to offer a frame for New Year’s Eve selfies, snow globe chat heads, and holiday-inspired sticker packs.
