Black Friday is officially underway, but thanks to Google, you don’t have to leave the house to get some good deals.
Google Play is now offering some specials on wearables and other hardware, with a promotion that’ll run from Black Friday to Cyber Monday, aka November 28 through December 21. Perhaps the biggest deal is on the LG G Watch, which has been marked down from $229 to just $99. You’ll also get a $50 Google Play credit with the purchase of the Android Wear device. Google is also discounting the Chromecast, marking it down from $35 to $25.
In addition to offering those discounts, Google is throwing in a $50 Google Play credit with the purchase of many other pieces of hardware. Anyone that buys a Nest Learning Thermostat, Sony SmartWatch 3, Samsung Gear Live, LG G Watch R or ASUS ZenWatch will earn a $50 Google Play credit with their purchase.
Finally, Google’s got some deals on apps and content as well. Included are app deals, like OfficeSuite 8 Pro marked down from $14.99 to $0.99, as well as sales on music, books and movies.
Overall it looks like Google’s got some nice deals for Black Friday. While the LG G Watch isn’t the freshest Android Wear device on the block, it’s tough to resist a smartwatch for $99, especially when you’re getting a $50 Google Play credit along with it. And hey, you can still snag that $50 credit even if there’s another Android Wear watch that you’d like to see on your wrist.
