Google’s been pretty busy lately updating its Android apps with Material designs to make them better fit with Android 5.0. Now OEMs are starting to do the same.
Motorola has updated its Motorola Camera and Motorola Gallery apps with more Material design looks and a few other tweaks. Motorola Camera has a “convenient Timer mode,” a gesture that’ll let you twist your phone to switch to the front camera (only available on Moto X, Droid Ultra and Droid Turbo) and a “New Material design” that mostly appears to be a splash of teal.
Meanwhile, Motorola Gallery has gained some performance improvements and Material design tweaks that Motorola says brings “a bold, colorful and responsive design.” Again, this appears to mostly be a new splash of teal across the UI.
It’s nice to see Motorola working to update its Android apps to better fit in with Google’s Material design language, even if there are still a couple of other tweaks that could be made. If you’re rocking a Motorola device that can install these new apps, you can grab ‘em both from the Play store links below.
