After refreshing its keyboard app design and cutting its price to free back in June, SwiftKey is now focusing on improving the performance of its Android app.
A SwiftKey for Android update is rolling out today that shortens the amount of time that it takes for your keyboard to appear by 15 to 20 percent, reduces the keyboard quit time by 20 to 30 percent, enables 15 to 50 percent faster switching between fields and makes typing 10 to 18 percent more responsive. Additionally, SwiftKey has expanded its number of supported languages to 81 by adding Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Nepali, Sinhala.
Performance improvements in frequently-used apps are always welcome, especially when it comes to making typing things a faster experience. If you’re a SwiftKey user, keep an eye out for this update. And if you’re not, you can grab SwiftKey from the Google Play link below.
