Bad news, HTC Google Play edition users. While your Android 5.0 update were originally expected to arrive “early” this week, they’ve now been pushed back a bit.
Mo Versi, HTC VP of Product Management, revealed on Twitter today that the update “got delayed” and that it’s now slated to arrive on Friday. Versi added that HTC is “working aggressively to get it out as quickly as possible.”
While it’s kind of a bummer that the HTC One (M7) and One (M8) GPe updates are coming later than anticipated, the delay isn’t a big one. And hey, wouldn’t you HTC GPe folk prefer that HTC waits a few days and pushes out a working update rather than releasing a borked one earlier?
