After making its debut at Mobile World Congress back in February, it looks like the next generation YotaPhone will finally go on sale in the near future.
YotaPhone today took to its official Twitter account to tease that the YotaPhone 2 will be shown off at an invitation-only event in London on December 3. No details regarding actual launch date or pricing of the Android device were given.
The next-gen YotaPhone that was detailed back in February included a 5-inch 1920x1080 AMOLED screen on one side and a 4.7-inch 960x540 e-ink panel on the other. Also included is a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel cameras and a Smart Power Mode feature that lets users turn off the AMOLED screen and rely on the e-ink panel in order to extend the life of their device.
The new YotaPhone looks much improved over the original model, both in terms of specs and its overall design. While the original YotaPhone was a bit blocky, the new model looks more refined and should feel much better in-hand.
