Recently the rumor mill claims to have narrowed down that launch window slightly, and now more pricing details may have emerged as well.

French website iGen.fr claims that the price of the stainless steel Apple Watch could start at $500, while the 18 karat gold Apple Watch Edition could be priced between $4,000 and $5,000. It’s expected that the $349 starting price given by Apple is for the anodized aluminum Apple Watch.

Obviously all of this is very much a rumor for now, but seems plausible. If the base aluminum model starts at $349, then the stainless steel model would obviously cost a bit more since it’s made from more premium materials, while the gold Apple Watch Edition would be the most premium of them all. With a $5,000 price tag, the Apple Watch Edition would likely be a no-go for most of us, but I’m sure that there are quite a few wealthy people that’s drop five G’s on a gold Apple Watch.
