Last week we learned about the Keyboard Folio and Magic Cover for the HTC Nexus 9 when they appeared on the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, Google wasn’t taking preorders for either accessory at the time, and it still isn’t. Amazon to the rescue!
Amazon is now taking preorders for both the HTC Nexus 9 Keyboard Folio and Magic Cover. Pricing for the two add-ons is set at $129.99 and $39.99, respectively, and both are expected to ship on November 3. Those prices are the same that Google is planning to charge, and Amazon also has all four Magic Cover colors — Black, Lime Stone, Coral Amethyst and Mint Indigo — just like Google.
As I said before, Google has a bit of a mixed history when it comes to offering Nexus accessories in a timely manner, sometimes offering add-ons months after the launch of the corresponding device. It’s good to see that that won’t be the case with the Nexus 9, especially considering how important an accessory like the Keyboard Folio could be to some Nexus 9 buyers.
