Sharp Aquos Crystal and its super-thin bezels now available from Boost Mobile, Sprint Prepaid

Following its official debut in mid-August, the Sharp Aquos Crystal is now available in the US.

Boost Mobile is now offering the Sharp Aquos Crystal for $149.99 with no contract. Sprint, Boost Mobile’s parent carrier, will begin offering the Aquos Crystal on October 17 for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $10 each with Sprint Easy Pay (full price of $239.99). Finally, the Aquos Crystal is available with Sprint Prepaid service at Best Buy today for $149.99, and it’ll hit RadioShack on October 21 for the same price.

If you’d like a quick refresher on the Sharp Aquos Crystal’s specs, I’m happy to oblige:

  • 5-inch 1280x720 display with minimal bezel
  • 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor
  • 8-megapixel rear, 1.2-megapixel front cameras
  • 8GB storage, microSD slot with support for cards up to 128GB
  • 1.5GB of RAM
  • Harman/Kardon audio:
    • Clari-Fi tech for improving digital sound quality by “restoring all types of compressed digital music”
    • LiveStage feature that “[adds] dimension to the sound” to offer an improved headphone listening experience
  • Sprint Spark LTE, HD Voice and Wi-Fi Calling support
  • Android 4.4.2 KitKat
  • Embedded 2040mAh battery

The Sharp Aquos Crystal may not be the most high-end Android phone around, but its interesting design and super-thin bezels are sure to attract some interest. Plus, it’s just nice to see Sharp phones finally making their way to the US after seeing all of the crazy designs that it’s been offering in Japan in recent years.
