Verizon HTC One (M8) update arrives with Android 4.4.3, Extreme Power Saving mode and more

Heads up, Verizon HTC One (M8) users, because you’ve got an updated headed your way today.

Owners of the Verizon-branded HTC One (M8) have started to receive their update to Android 4.4.3. The update moves the One (M8) to build 1.09.20.0702 and includes the following tweaks:

The following improvements have been made:

  • Prolonged battery life with new integrated Extreme Power Saver (EPS) mode 
  • Upgraded version of Verizon Cloud (13.6.4.28) 
  • Mobile hotspot connectivity
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Google Security Patch

The following issues have been addressed:

  • Camera app force closure issue has been fixed
  • Device root vulnerability issue has been resolved
  • LED notification issue has been fixed 
  • Resolution for the device not able to power ON in rare scenarios

The update may be coming a day later than originally anticipated, but hey, all that matters now is that it’s finally here. To check for this update right now, grab your Verizon One (M8) and go to Settings > Phone Update > Check for Update.
