HTC has steadily been adding its custom Sense apps into Google Play in recent months, including BlinkFeed, Sense Input and its Clock. Today another HTC app has hit the Play Store’s virtual shelves.
The HTC Lock Screen app is now available on the Google Play Store. HTC describes it as allowing users to swipe right to jump to BlinkFeed, left to access the Widget Home and up to go to the previously used app. HTC also says that notifications, clock and weather are displayed on the lock screen.
As for the latest update to HTC Lock Screen, which appeared on my HTC One (M7) early this morning, HTC says that the update includes “A new mechanism to prevent you from unintentionally triggering factory reset.”
Right now there’s not a ton of added functionality from this update, but now that the HTC Lock Screen app is in Google Play and can be easily updated, it’ll be interesting to see what HTC does with it in the future. If you’d like a closer look at the app right now, you can hit up the Google Play link below.
