T-Mobile LG G3 owners got a nice mid-week surprise this morning in the form of a new software update. Several TmoNews readers and xda-developers forumgoers report that they’ve received a software update that weighs in at 154.6MB and bumps them up to build KVT49L.D85110m from KVT49L.D85110c.
So what’s included in this update? That’s not yet clear, as neither LG nor T-Mobile have posted any support documents for the update. Users that’ve installed it say that they’re still on Android 4.4.2, so it’s not an Android bump. One xda user says that the update added a camera slider on the G3’s lock screen, smoother screen transitions and improved signal.
If you’ve got a T-Mobile-flavored LG G3, you can check for this update manually by going into Settings > About phone > Update center > System updates > Check now. Be sure to give us a shout if your G3 receives this update!
UPDATE: T-Mobile has finally updated its LG G3 support page with info on this new update, revealing that it includes “Wi-Fi Calling enhancements.”
