A few days ago we got wind of LG’s new Android Wear smartwatch, dubbed the LG G Watch R, thanks to a promo video that was discovered on YouTube. LG didn’t say anything about the device at the time, but today it finally broke its silence with a teaser for its new round-faced wearable.
The Life’s Good crew has taken to its official Facebook page to post an image that says “Smart Comes Full Circle” along with the dates of IFA 2014. We can also se the edge of a round-faced watch that, well, looks like a regular watch.
Attached to the image is the caption “The first wearable to fully utilize its circular shape.” Sounds like a shot at the Moto 360 to me! LG then goes on to say that we can meet its “newest wearable” at IFA from September 5-10.
While LG’s original image doesn’t reveal much about the G Watch R except that its round, a brightened version of the image shared by Android Central gives us a slightly better look at the wearable. So far the G Watch R looks like a nice piece of wearable kit, especially for those folks that want a smartwatch that doesn’t look like a smartwatch. Now we just have to wait and see how much LG charges for the thing.
