Barnes & Noble announced back at the beginning of June that it’s partnering with Samsung on the next member of the Nook family, the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook. B&N didn’t offer many other details besides an “early August” debut timeframe, but it looks like all of the details will finally be spilled soon.
Barnes & Noble and Samsung will be co-hosting an event on Wednesday, August 20 in New York City. The tagline for the event is “Join us as the best of both worlds come together.” Samsung has confirmed to CNET that the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook will make an appearance at the gathering, but wouldn’t share nay other details.
Since Barnes & Noble has previously said that the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook will be introduced in early August, it makes sense that the slate would be the star of this show. We still don’t know exactly when the GT4N will actually hit shelves or how much it’ll cost when it does, but I’m sure that all will be revealed on August 20, and I wouldn’t be surprised if an actual launch took place shortly thereafter.
