T-Mobile launches new family plan with four lines, 10GB of data and $100 price tag

As many kids and their parents get ready for school to start back up, “new cellphone family plan” is likely on the shopping lists for many. Today T-Mobile is making it easier to check that item off those lists by announcing a new family plan.

Starting July 30, T-Mobile will offer a new Simple Choice Plan that includes 10GB of data as well as unlimited talk and text for $100 per month. The plan will also include the free international data and unlimited music streaming features that’ve been a part of previous T-Mobile’s Un-carrier announcements.

This new Simple Choice Plan is available to families of four and will be offered through September 30. It’s also worth noting that the 10GB of data will be part of the plan until January 2, 2016. After that date, each line will receive 1GB of data per month.

To compare, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon’s comparable four-line offerings cost $160 per month and don’t include overage-free data or international support.

What do you think of T-Mobile’s newest family plan? Are any of you thinking about signing up when it goes live later this week?
