Nokia has been attacking the low-cost smartphone market quite a bit lately with devices like the Lumia 520 and Lumia 635, and today that assault continues with the Lumia 530.
Nokia this morning took the wraps off of the Lumia 530, a Windows Phone 8.1 device that’s described as “the most affordable Lumia yet.” The Nokia Lumia 530 will be priced at €85 ($114 USD) when it begins rolling out globally in August.
So what kind of features were Microsoft and Nokia able to cram into the Lumia 530 while keeping it at a price of €85? Here’s the full rundown:

The Nokia Lumia 530 will be available in single SIM and dual SIM varieties. As with many other Nokia products, the 530 will also be sold in a variety of colors that include white, black, green and orange.
Nokia’s Lumia 520 has shown to be an extremely popular device, serving as a low-cost smartphone that’s good for consumers that can’t or don’t want to spend a ton of cash on a handset but still want something with capable specs. That’s why it’s no surprise to see a follow-up to the Lumia 520 with the newest version of Windows Phone. At just €85, don’t be surprised if the Lumia 530 ends up being a big seller just like its predecessor.
In addition to the Lumia 530, Nokia today announced the Band mini speaker that it created in collaboration with Coloud. The portable speaker connects to a device through its 3.5mm headset jack and can pump out audio for around 8 hours. Nokia also says that several Bang speakers can be chained together.
The Band mini speaker will launch “in the coming weeks” at a price of €19 ($25 USD).
UPDATE: T-Mobile has reached out to announce that it will launch the Nokia Lumia 530 “later this year.” There’s no word yet on how much T-Mo plans to charge for the new Windows Phone device.
