Just as promised, Samsung today introduced the newest member of its Exynos processor family, known as the Exynos ModAP.
The Exynos ModAP is made using a 28nm HKMG process and boasts support for 2G, 3G and 4G LTE technologies. Samsung's new chip also claims to offer faster multitasking, support for high-res cameras and high-quality video capture and graphics playback.
In addition to the ModAP, Samsung announced an Exynos Modem with support for LTE-Advanced Carrier Aggregation, as well as an Exynos RF companion chip that supports enhanced connectivity with LTE networks.
Unfortunately for all of the spec hounds out there, Samsung hasn't said when we can expect to see its new Exynos ModAP being to appear in consumer hardware. While we wait for those details to come out, you can educate yourself on Sammy's new silicon at the Samsung link below.
