When LG introduced us to the G3 last month, all four major U.S. carriers confirmed their plans to sell the new flagship. Unfortunately, what they didn’t say is exactly when they’d begin offering the G3, with Sprint’s “July 2014” timeframe being the most precise one offered. Thanks to the rumor mill, though, we’ve now got a potential date on which T-Mobile fans may be able to buy the Quad HD smartphone.
According to our pals at TmoNews, the LG G3 is scheduled to launch at T-Mobile on July 16, one day ahead of Verizon’s rumored release date. The source of this report also says that the mid-range Sony Xperia T2 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 will launch a week later on July 23.
Obviously these release dates aren’t official until John Legere and Co. say that they are, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if they turned out to be accurate. The G3 is already expected to hit Sprint and Verizon in July, and so a T-Mo launch in that month would make sense. Plus, T-Mobile has shown that it likes to launch new products on Wednesdays, which both July 16 and July 23 are.
While we wait for LG and T-Mobile to make the G3’s launch date nice and legit, you can prepare for the device’s arrival by watching our video review below.
