Heads up, Android users, because Google is in the process of rolling out updates to two of its biggest apps.

First up is YouTube, which is getting bumped up to version 5.7.36. The update brings with it the ability select the quality of the video that you’re streaming, ranging from 144p (bleh!) up to 720p. Previously the app would only let users chose either standard or high-quality streaming.

The second big app update is for Hangouts. This update brings the Hangouts app up to 2.1.223 and includes options to set custom alert sounds for messages and Hangouts calls. Additionally, tapping on a contact in a conversation will now bring up his or her contact card rather than their Google+ page.

While neither of these updates make dramatic changes to the app UIs or anything like that, they do include small tweaks that increase usability of the apps.
