The last full week of June was already going to be big thanks to Google I/O, which is taking place on June 25 and 26, but apparently Sprint didn’t agree.
Sprint just sent out invitations to a “This Is Happy Connecting” event on June 23. Ol’ Yellow hasn’t said what it’s got planned for the shindig, but we don’t know that the gathering will take place in Chicago.
So what might Sprint have planned? As CNET notes, the “Happy Connecting” part of the event title hints that Sprint could have some network-related news to share. One of the carrier’s recent “Happy Connecting” TV ads focused on its Sprint Spark service, so it’s possible that Sprint could have some news related to that tri-band LTE coverage.
