With some, if not most, devices out there, it can be pretty easy to get frustrated or annoyed. It isn't just smartphones, of course. Any piece of technology that we interact with on a daily basis has the potential to just ruin our day with a simple mistake, or if something doesn't work the way it's supposed to. We expect our stuff to work, especially when we absolutely need it to, and it can be monumentally frustrating when it doesn't perform.
The good comes from everything we like about our devices. It's a weighing game. We weigh what works for us and what doesn't, and the positive outweighs the negative than we don't have any qualms about keeping whatever it is we own. That's why it's so good that places have trial periods or return policies in general. Giving the consumer the ability to take something home and try it out, in a realistic fashion for longer than just a few hours, can really help.
I've certainly found it helps in my own trials with new gadgets.
The ultimate goal is to find something we absolutely love about whatever it is we're using. When it comes to our smartphones, there are so many different aspects to our favorite devices, whether they're big or small, that can stand out to give us a reason why we use what we use. The reasons don't have to be the same as anyone else's, and more often they won't be at all. When we're trying to find the smartphone we want or need, it all comes down to the individual parts we love so much.
Earlier today, BlackBerry officially outlined the new features that are coming packed into the newest update to BlackBerry 10, known as BlackBerry 10.3. There's a lot going on in the update, including additions to the BlackBerry Hub, to the Home Screen itself, and even a slight refresh to the UI and baked-in features.
It got me thinking about the parts of our phones that we love so much. Yeah, software is great, but it doesn't have to be just software. Just look at the ridiculously blue HTC One M8 that showed up not too long ago. If someone told me that their favorite phone was that one, because it was blue, I'd completely understand that. Or, maybe it is software, and something like Extreme Power Saving can win you over.
