Following Google’s acquisition of Nest Labs, Inc. earlier this year, the big G has added the Nest Learning Thermostat to the virtual shelves of the Play Store.
The Nest Learning Thermostat is now available for purchase from Google Play. Pricing is set at $249, which is the same price that you’d pay at other retailers like Amazon, and new orders are expected to ship out in 1-2 business days. Google also says that in honor of Earth Day, Nest will plant a tree for every thermostat that it sells through the Play Store today.
Considering that Google dropped $3.2 billion on Nest Labs, Inc. just a couple of short months ago, it’s no surprise to see that the Nest Learning Thermostat is available in the Play Store. After all, why not give consumers another way to buy your product, especially when you’ve got your own online store?
