The past few years have seen Samsung launch two flagship smartphones annually: a new Galaxy S in the spring and a new Galaxy Note in the fall. Now that the Galaxy S5 has arrived, many folks are starting to turn their attention to the Galaxy Note 4 and what features it’ll have. Thanks to a Samsung executive, we’ve now got one clue about what the next Note might bring.
Yoon Han-kil, SVP of Samsung’s product strategy group, recently teased to Reuters that his company is prepping a new version of the Galaxy Note that features a “new form factor.” Yoon didn’t explain what that form factor might be, but he did say that the device will launch in the second half of 2014.
So what kind of crazy new form factor might Samsung have up its sleeve? We’ll have to wait until the next Galaxy Note debuts before we know for sure, but a Samsung executive previously teased that the next Note smartphone might feature a three-sided, wraparound display. This form factor would enable users to read messages and other content at an angle.
