We here at PhoneDog can never get enough peeks at unannounced smartphones, especially those that might not ever actually make it to market. I’m sure that you feel the same way, which is why I’m brining you a fresh batch of leaked photos that show off the unofficial — and possibly cancelled — BlackBerry Kopi.
A new set of images that compare the BlackBerry Kopi to the BlackBerry Q5 has been posted by Vietnamese site Genk. The Kopi in these shots looks just like all of the others we’ve seen, packing a physical QWERTY keyboard and silver lip at the bottom of its face. While the BlackBerry Kopi and Q5 look fairly similar, one big difference between the two devices is that the Kopi’s battery is removable while the Q5’s is not.
The BlackBerry Kopi has never been officially announced by BlackBerry, but a recent report suggested that the device has been given the axe. While that’s still very much a rumor for now, it’s certainly possible that BlackBerry may have decided to cancel the Kopi because it’s so similar to the Q5, as these leaked photos show.
