Less than two months after launching its More Everything rate plans, Verizon today confirmed that it's making some changes to the prices of its new offerings.
Verizon has announced that customers on its Edge upgrade program will receive a discount of $25 per month when they're enrolled in a More Everything plan with 10GB of data. Previously, Verizon gave discounts of $20. That means that pricing for Edge customers on 10GB More Everything plans is set at $15 per line, while consumers that opt for a traditional subsidy will pony up $40 per line.
Verizon notes that four smartphones enrolled in Edge and signed up for a 10GB More Everything plan will end up with a total monthly bill of $160. That's the same price of AT&T's 10GB Mobile Share Value plan that it rolled out in early February, which I'm betting is no coincidence. After all, whenever AT&T or Verizon rolls out a new plan or feature, we typically see the other operator mimic that change. This just means that Verizon customers that meet the criteria of this cheaper More Everything plan can save some cash each month, though, which I'm sure we can all agree is a good thing. Just remember that you've got to sign up for Verizon Edge in order to get the cheaper rate.
