It's now been several months since Google pushed Android 4.4.2 to its Nexus hardware, and so owners of those phones and tablets are likely starting to get antsy for a new software release, especially since 4.4.2 has been rolling out to several other devices lately. It's not yet clear when the Android 4.4.3 update will actually begin rolling out, but today a leak containing some details on the impending update has surfaced to whet our appetites while we wait for the push.
A source speaking to Android Police claims to have a test build of Android 4.4.3 running on a Nexus 5. As you might expect from the 0.0.1 jump in version number from Android 4.4.2, this new 4.4.3 update is a bug fixer, packing improvements to the camera, Bluetooth, a random reboot fix and more. Considering how long it's been since Android 4.4.2 was first pushed out and how we've probably still got a bit of a wait for the update to Android 4.5, 5.0 or whatever, it's no surprise to see test builds of Android 4.4.3 kicking around. And while some may be disappointed that there aren't any major new features to be found — at least not yet — the good news is that at least there are a number of bug fixes that ought to make using KitKat a smoother and better overall experience.
