Looks like the debut of the One (M8) isn't the only exciting news that HTC has to share today.
HTC executive Mohammad Versi just revealed on Twitter that AT&T has approved the Android 4.4.2 update for its version of the HTC One mini. Versi says that the over the air update, which includes an upgrade to HTC Sense 5.5, should begin rolling out by the end of this week.
We've known for more than a month now that the One mini would be updated to Android 4.4 KitKat, so that part of today's announcement isn't really a surprise. What is exciting, though, is that the update is slated to begin rolling out by the end of this week, which is just a tad earlier than the April timeframe that HTC previously gave us. Stay tuned and I'll give you a shout once I get word that the push is actually underway.
