Got plans for March 25? Well you'd better cancel 'em, because HTC just announced that it's holding an event on that date. Unsurprisingly, HTC hasn't actually come out and named the products that it's planning to show at the shindig, but the company has teased that "the best is about to get better."
Even though HTC hasn't said exactly what this March 25 event is for, it seems likely that the follow-up to the HTC One will be the guest of honor. Not only are we right around a year out from the introduction of the original One, but HTC Chairwoman Cher Wang recently said that her firm would soon be sending out invitations to the debut of its flagship follow-up to the One.
According to recent reports churned out by the rumor mill, the successor to the HTC One carries the codename "M8." It's said that the M8 could come to market sporting a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, dual rear cameras and a set of on-screen navigation buttons, all crammed into a body that's similar to the original One.
What features will the follow-up to the HTC One need to have in order to earn "must-buy" status from you?
