LG confirmed last month that it would introduce us to the G Pro 2 in February, but the company never said exactly when in February the meet and greet would go down. Now it looks like we may have a date to circle on our calendars, though, because LG has started to send out invitations for an event in Korea next week.
ZDNet Korea recently received an invitation to an LG shindig on Feb. 13 with the tagline "Knock-knock knockin' on." That's likely a reference to LG's KnockOn double-tap to wake feature, which it's used on recent flagship devices like the G2.
When LG revealed its plans to unveil the G Pro 2 in February, many assumed that the Life's Good crew would be debuting its device at Mobile World Congress, which kicks off on Feb. 24. The company only ever said that the announcement would be taking place in February, though, and so it's possible that the G Pro 2 could make its first official appearance at this Feb. 13 event. Last year LG took the wraps off of the original Optimus G Pro ahead of MWC, and so it wouldn't exactly be shocking to see the firm do the same again in 2014 with the G Pro 2.
LG has already revealed that the G Pro 2 will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS Plus technology, and the rumor mill claims that it'll also pack goodies like a 6-inch display and 3GB of RAM. Based on the details that are available so far, are you excited for LG's G Pro 2 to make its official debut?
