Jonesing for a red Nexus 5 of your very own after the crimson device appeared in several leaked photos earlier this week? If a new image posted by Android Central is to be believed, it won't be long before you'll have your chance.
A photo from Sprint's employee Playbook shows that the red Nexus 5 could launch in the Google Play Store as soon as Feb. 4. Details on the pricing and specs of the red Nexus 5 haven't yet been revealed, but it's likely that the device will be similar to the black and white Nexus 5s in just about every regard. That means a 4.95-inch 1080p display, 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 8-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front cameras and 4G LTE connectivity.
While Google has been offering red and yellow bumper Nexus 5 bumper cases for quite a while now, the device itself has only been sold in black and white versions to date. A red version of the Nexus 5 hardware would add a nice splash of color to the lineup, and it's nice to see that Google may soon give its newest Nexus some fresh duds that are quite a bit different than the black and white N5s.
Now that we've got more evidence to show that the red Nexus 5 is the real deal, how many of you are planning on picking one up?
