T-Mobile QWERTY lovers may have been disappointed when CES 2014 came and went earlier this month with nary a peep about the LG Optimus F3Q, but today a new leak has shown that their keyboarded knight in shining armor is still very much alive.
A new image posted to Twitter by @evleaks has given us another look at the LG Optimus F3Q, an Android-powered landscape slider with a five-row physical keyboard. The model shown in today's leak is described as being the "final design," complete with a 4-inch 800x480 display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, 4G LTE and a 2460mAh battery powering the whole package. The F3Q is expected to come preloaded with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
While the LG Optimus F3Q's purported spec list doesn't exactly contain the most high-end set of features that we've ever seen on a smartphone, the physical keyboard is a pretty rare animal in the smartphone kingdom, and so T-Mobile customers in the hunt for a QWERTY-clad handset may have to make some compromises if they want to keep hardware buttons under their thumbs. Two details about the F3Q that we're still missing are its launch date and price, but the good news for T-Mo customers that also happen to be QWERTY fans is that with the F3Q's lower-end spec list, it likely won't be too expensive to treat themselves to a new set of keys.
